I have an 85 Burb with 454. I was wondering how difficult it would be to add Rear air to it. Has anybody tried this?

ok i looked at mine.

the headliner is not all the way to the back. there is a large trim cover w/ the vents and a drain. there is a wire coming along the roof from the separate switch in the dash. the AC lines off the compressor are special and have lines coming off of them all the way to the rear of the truck for the freon. the AC unit itself bolts into the roof with curved brackets and 4 bolts. the lines bolt to the floor with a plate, and i havent looked underneath that yet but it looks like there will be the long ones coming from the front of the truck screwed onto the other lines through bottom of that plate.

Not sure I understhand why you would want to be rid of the rear AC... The wife and kids complain how warm it gets back there.... My wife particularly complains that the floor is hot (she is entertainment director in row 2) Maybe there is something that I could do about that.... I think that it has all the necessary heat shields down below, but I'll have to crawl under & verify.
