I have just finished welding new rockers and some homemade sheetmetal to repair my floor in my 71 K5. I primed the whole area with rustoleum rusty metal primer (brush on). I have a new carpet ready to install. Is this going to be good enough for the long run or should I use a topcoat of some sort?

it looks good and yes u need to put sum kinda topcoat(paint) on there if u dont it will rust
