i'm thinking or switching to RM. i'm impressed with their Carrizma line and i'v sprayed some Diamont bc. i use PPG at work and Dupont for the side jobs. the place that sells rm (carquest) has a couple professionals with grade a experience and advice, the dupont store that my buddys own lost the guy who had hands on experience. the RM place also stocks alot of HOK. what i'm asking is is RM comparable with Dupont and PPG?? or are they that much ahead of the rest?

When I lived in California, just about everyone there used RM. They had some problems , then some other company bought them. They seem to always be coming out with different products.

I would say that RM is behind in the top end lines of paint.

Here in the upper midwest (Mpls./St. Paul, MN) it is all DuPont and PPG.
Both of these companys have very good tech guys.

It seems that both DuPont and PPG are always doing tech seminars and updating the guys and girls that use their products.
Both companys have updated and improved their top line products without
alienating the people that use the stuff.

Most painters around here are very loyal to the product that they use, usually because it makes them(the painter) a very good living.

The jobber that I use mostly (Keystone Automotive) carries PPG and they are a stocking dealer of HOK products.

Kosmoski is from here and sold HOK to Valspar of Mississippi.
He was doing some consulting for them, but I think his consult deal finally ended .
I think he is doing books and vidieos now.
(used his paint, HOK since 1969 and won't use anything else for trick stuff)
