Is there much difference in the mounting of the front clips on our 58 as compared to a 55? The only reason I ask it I can get a damn near perfect 55 front clip off the local yard for about $250 from an old panel truck. The 58 fenders are almost $500 each up here and the trim holes would still have to be filled. The trucka already has a Nova front clip under it so the length of the frame isn't an issue. I just seem to remember something different about how the hood is hinged.

Hey Dubie! Ain't you done with that wife's truck yet? JUST KIDDING! The 55 -57 hinges are needed. And yes, they bolt up different on the firewall.

Do some measuring on the donor cab as to see where the bolts go. (or take a piece of paper and some charcoal or graphite and rub it). Then take the rubbing paper home and see how it differs from the bolt loacations on the 58.

I could go check the differences on the 58 and 55 cabs in my yard but I am LAZY! LOL

PS: If you want to sell that front clip off the 55 I have buyers waiting!!!

Yea the hood hinges are different. Other then that, the front clip will bolt up just like the 58.

BTW: If I can remember, ill take a picture of the firewall I got my front clip off of (56), and take a picture of a 58 firewall.
