I was looking for some advise. What do you guys think of this repair job on this cab. I bought the cab like this but do not know if the guy welded these pieces in correctly. What is the correct way to do it?

Hmmmm well I cant see the pics very well. Too small. To me a good repair is a butt-weld (not a lap weld) that is welded all the way around the patch. Of course it shouldn't have any warping and has to fit nicely. Where I live it is too wet to get away with a lot of body filler (although lots of guys try) so I only like welds that need the absolute minimum of filler. Happy Truckin. CoryM

I would say that if the body lines are straight, and if all the seams that should line up do, than you are in luck. Just make sure that the metal is right where the weather stripping goes, that way you dont end up with a gap that you cant fix when you close the doors.
