does anyone have one? how do you like it, is it easy to manuever with the larger hose? how hard it it to control orange peel? i've read some on these units, and the drawback, or advantage if ya look at it that way is that you must use more reducer or change the heat range of the reducer because the turbine heats the air and can cause excess orange peel. most manufacturers boast an 85% effiency rate as opposed to 20% on convential types. i've only read up on graco's, tip's, and fuji. i'm leaning toward the tip unit, it seems to give more for the buck. anyone??

I bought one about 5 years ago and used it once. The turbine produces warm air and no way to regulate the temp. I shot primer surfacer on my 67 Buick GS and ended up with what can only be best described as the surface of the moon. I used the low temp reducers to compensate and it still came out like crap. After I finished sanding it all down I fired up my compressor and picked up my trusty Finish line HVLP. I've never had a problem out of the Turbine unit since. But then its never come back out of the box.
By the way I'd be more than willing to part with it for a fair price.

I have a Wagner 8000 turbine that I bought at a pawn shop $100. I bought it for applying finishes to wood, but now use it many other things. I especially like it for lacquer undercoater.
