whats everyone using for the rubber mounts when u remove the cab,do u guy's buy new one's or use the old ones.........lookin for the best thing to use on my 85 short box step side frame off restoration there's goota be some one out there that don't use the stock mounts.......even post pics if u have some of the mounts thanks,,,,,, :bowtie: :burnout:

Unless they are cracked and look bad or you noticed the cab sitting funny before the tear down, I guess it could be a choice on whether to replace or not.

I would seize the opportunity to replace those rubber body mounts while you have the truck torn down. If you are doing a nice frame off resto, it's the right thing to do. Five years from now, when your cab is all cockeyed, you'll wish you did it. Much easier to do it now when the truck is torn down than crawling under the truck like a gopher using the jack and block method to replace them. JMO.

Besides, the cost of new mounts isn't much compared to the money I'm sure you are spending doing a frame off resto.

now I'm no authority on this cuz this is my first frame off,but for the $130 cdn it'll cost me I'm gonna replace em.I figure if I'm goin to the trouble of ripping it down to the frame them I might as well.
