What do I win? :P

Anyhow, I'm Bob. I live in RI with my lovely wife and four great kids. I have an 87 Suburban 4x4 1/2 ton that is a project in the works. Finding the time to work on it gets a little tough, but we all love this truck.

So far, I've found these forums to be very friendly and helpful, it's a great place to be!

Thanks to all for the welcome!

I do have pics. These are from a year ago, when I had just finished installing the spring lift, new shocks, and all new steering and suspension parts. I also did the inner and outer fenders at the same time. It looks pretty much the same now as it did then, most of the work lately has been repair/maintenance related. It's running like a champ now, so I can start paying attention to the body. Next project: fabrication of some body mount brackets, and poly body mounts.

Here's the pics:

*edit* Found another newer one. The one of the truck in the snow is from last weekend's blizzard. :)

Nah, that's just a result of my "parking by braille" system. Keep going till you hit something, then stop. Learned it from the wifey. :)

Holy old thread Batman!

Well, since posting this I've moved on in a few areas. I no longer have the Burb, the trans gave out in the summer of 06. I parked it at a friend's shop with full intentions of finishing it the way I had intended to when I bought it, but the rest of the body was too far gone. I ended up scrapping the whole truck and decided someday I'll get a rust free southern truck and build that.

It was a heck of a lot of fun while I had it though!
