Why would you want to leave all the scenic wonders of Kansas for another state, LOL? Will send some pics via your email link. Not sure about shipping costs, have to find a suitable box and get a quote.

Since its a 60s model sub would it fit under a 65 chevy truck? Was it mounted under the center of the cargo area? Let me know what shipping works out to be and I'll talk it over with my wife. Thanks for the pics. I'll let you know this weekend.

Not sure how it would fit under a 65 pickup bed but I would think it could be adapted to fit. When I installed my poly tank (about the same physical size) on my '71 I placed the fuel filler inlet in the left rear wheel well tub inside the bed about half way up. I did not remove the tank, I got it along with a group of parts I purchased when I was restoring my '71 4x4. The tank and a few oddds and ends in the 60-66 era were included. Have not found a box large enough to ship the tank in, the tank inlet causes a larger box to be used. Soon as I can find a box large enough I will get a shipping quote.

Well I tried to get her to go for it but she says were to tight right now for the project after all it is her truck, I just maintain it,clean it,fix it, and did all the work when repainting it but it is HERS... Sorry man I would love to take it off your hands and for that price is a he11ova deal but she says no. Thanks for all your trouble and sorry to make you do all that for me to have her say no.

Since shortbed70 can't do it, I'd be interested in it if the shipping isn't too expensive

can you get me a ballpark on doing so ?

Yah I wish I could because I'm tired of having that tank behind the seat but making this move has got us so streched I can't get anything as she said so. Sorry once again and I thank you for the quote.

Does this tank have a cutout for the spare tire? My friend has a 65 panel and it does. I've been looking for a suburban tank for my 62. Seems like it would be an easy job......assuming the frames are similar from a truck to a panel..Did you ever have this tank in your 71?

Not sure as to how to answer your question since the tank came to me in a "pile 'a parts" I bought when I was restoring my '71 4x4. I never had the tank installed in my '71 before re-locating gas tank to under the bed. Was told the tank came from a '66 Suburban, tank is rather rectangular with no obvious "cut-out" portion as you can see from the pic. If you have other questions feel free, will do my best to answer. :)
