I have to decide what color I want my truck so I can tint my primer. The only problem is I cant decide what color I want, the more I look at truck pics the more flustered I get. I have eliminated black, white, red and ocra. I'm down to the orange, yellow and blue spectrums. Am I the only one that changes his mind everyday? Maybe I should get a script for some Riddlin or Prozac

You DEFINITELY are not alone!!!
I do have the interior figured out though, a shade of charcoal gray. The outside.....
I'm stuck on a yellow for today...

yeah its pretty hard here too... Since I'll be spraying it myself, I will stay away from mettallics and pearls[I] (hard not to get clouding without the nice tools and experience...)[I] so... its those primary type colors... but which one? we'll see when we get there... but I have so far to go... I'll figure it out when I get there... my experience in painting has been that its easier to get lighter colors such as white, yellow to look good than darker colors... red and orange are mid spectrum... so I am leaning that way... Hugger Orange is high on my list!!! Good luck!!!

light colors are not neccassarly(sp?) easier, they are more transparent and sometimes harder to shoot unless you either shoot a white base underneath. its hard to not show lines. darks are easier to paint but harder to do becuase the body work must be perfect, darks show almost every flaw in the body work. hugger orange is a sweet color though, i am in the same shoes trying to pick, goes in the shop this week so hopefully i will decide soon

Whats real bad is Knowing the color you want but can find out the name of it. I see it now and then. Its like 56 chevy pinecreast green but a little darker. I saw it the other day but the guy thought I was nuts following him around and wouldny stop sp I could look at his truck. It was a 72 chev and looked to be original...at 55mph Anyone here know what that color is?

Be careful tinting your primer. Sometimes it is not cut out what it is meant to be. You will be spraying your truck and you think you have it covered and you take it outside and it is not. Just go with a neutral light grey primer and you shouldn't have any problems. The only time I change is when I seal the truck or car and I am painting a red, then I go with a white sealer.
