My family used to have the carnival there. Always seemed to be a pretty good time, in spite of the hangovers. We used to have trouble with people (including the AF committee members) wanting to go down our slide in the middle of the night after they were good and loaded. :lol:

Hi all! I believe this is my first post. I have been lurking for a few weeks. I am from Danville, Illinois, which is about 30 miles east of Champaign-Urbana. I can't believe the common "threads" from what is already posted here. I attended Michigan Tech for 3 years and graduated from Tinley Park High School! Talk about small world!

I'm currently building a 400 HP 402 engine for my 70 stepside. My truck the first time I saw it.

Anyone on here live near Scott AFB on the Troy - Scott road? I pass a house everyday on that road with a sweet looking red stepside 69-70 and another light blue one next to it.
One of the guys in my Reserve unit has a 68 Chevy LWB for sale that IMO is a decent truck to restore. He needs to sell it. I think it has a 305/ 3 sp in it currently. Been trying to get some pics of it to post here for him.
