I've already taken Friday off for my pilgrimage. For some of us it really is a religious experience. :bling:

To me seems to be the same over priced junk every year. I imagine the last day the prices go down. who wants to hall alot of that junk home.

I seem to find jewels among the junk every year and you're right - you can buy all the junk you want for next to nothing on Sunday afternoon - but I don't need anymore junk.

It's at the Expo center every year, first weekend in April. It's huge. Fills all of the buildings AND the parking lots. You have to park at PIR or Portland Meadows and ride a shuttle bus to the site.

Going down on Wednesday to check out the track swap meet. Will be setting up on Thursday at the Expo at booth 2176/75. This has been just across from Coker Tire and next to Superior Wheel(?) anyway the wheel co. from Portland. Will have smaller stuff to sell as it is difficult to carry out large items. Interior items/lights/steering wheels/etc. Stop by and say hello. I will be the older guy. The younger kid has lots of big block parts and also boat parts. Large sheet metal items tailgates/hoods/fenders/doors will stay home in Tacoma.

Hey guys, was supposed to be in 3047 but moved down to the tower a little because our 42ft trailer wouldnt fit and it was grass, now we bought another spot, next to a guy who chromes stuff, so come check us out. Northwest Speed and Equipment, Eenco, Hurst Racing Tires, come check it out. I will be the young guy there, ask if you want to see some pics of my panel chop. I should have them. Later.

Are you going to be @ the Expo center or @ PIR?

Hey, it was great to meet Pickemup, Bad 4X4 and Bob Moore at the swap meet. Spent some time talking to Bob about our trucks. Great guy.
:hi2:

Overall it was OK but not as good as last year. I think the PIR swap meet is drawing away vendors from the Expo center one. I didn't get a chance to check out the PIR one but heard differing comments. Some thought it was pretty good (and is cheaper by 2 bucks) and others didn't think much of it. By afternoon I was just way to tired to check it out. Maybe next year.

I found a few things so came away happy. Most interesting was an AC control from a 66 Impala. Main difference I noticed is the knobs look way cooler. Should add a hard to notice mod to my Chevy. Will keep some people

I need some sleep. Guy sorry we have never hooked up yet. Talked with bad4x4 and he said you were there. I met another member but name slips my weary mind right now. Last years weather was better and not so many empty stalls last year. PIR was not to great in my opinion. Stuff was scattered around most of track. I'm sure its in building years again to get back to awesome number of vendors like in late 80's. Saw several sold signs on som spendy trucks and cars today. Heard rumors of some out of state and out of country buyers cleaning up. That would have been fun to have high price on spare truck.. oh wait there is no such thing as spare according to what I tell wife. Found a few nick knacks, but did not have budget to do much more.

thanks to those I met and did not even know you were board members, I know you were there and we probably talked. We need better way to ID each other. Board used to do T-shirts once in a while but with rain tehy might not have showed.

Wish I could have stayed for tomorrow.

I thought the swap meet this year was not as good as last year. We did not go the the PIR one, after 6 1/2 hours of walking @ the expo center we we not game for PIR.

Had a great time. Left home on Wednesday afternoon and got back Sunday at 5PM. Did both the track and Expo. Legs and feet very tired but well worth the effort. Tried to convince several vendors and buyers to join the board. Enjoyed visiting with everyone. Didn't do very well dollar wise selling - last year was better. I probably bought as much as I sold. I just wish the speed warning dash I saw had a lower price - $275. I did not take any steering columns but saw 2 true truck columns that did not sell($225). Also saw many van tilts(not converted to truck) starting at $60 up to $125.00.

Signed up for next year at Expo - same spot right accross from Coker Tire.

Was it the lowered green truck? The one I remember looked very nice. Can't remember asking price.

I wish I'd seen this before I went...

I was at the swap meet and didn't find much. I walked by a lot of stuff I've bought in the past. Lots of 70's tach clusters and whole lot of beat up pieces like the ones I take OFF my trucks, not stuff I want to drag home to put on.

I did see some 73-87 trucks sold for outrageous prices (one 78 or so SWB that had a sticker on it for 22k on Friday and a sold sticker on it Saturday...). Anyhow, it's always fun to get together with friends and walk around looking at cars and parts and I had a great time as usual.
