The first 3 years, my truck was at mom's house 430 miles away. The truck is now with me at my house, and I work on it every weekend(check the 73-87 message board for progress pics). I usually just read and learn from everyone else's postings. Most of these posts are from the last 2 years. I'm from Meridian originally but I go to school at USM (Hattiesburg). I'm in the process of droppin a 88 c1500 350 5spd manual shortbed stepside. Since i finally got to where i can post on here I can finally ask my main question. Does anyone know if an newer model dash will fit the 88'?? I'm workin on this truck with my fiance's dad and both of us absolutely hate the non-needle style dashes. **EDIT** Oh yeah, and when we finish with this truck and i graduate we're going to start work on a 1947 Studebaker M5. The original owner was my great grandfather. It was parked in a barn on our property in the 70's and has never seen the light of day since. BUT, if at all possible, we'll attend a board meet. There's a state park here in Jackson- Lefleur's Bluff- that's easy to find and large enough for all of us. Large playground for the kids as well. Now that racing season is over I have picked up interest in my truck again. I'd like to meet some of you and look at your trucks and maybe get some ideas for my own.
