My neighbor has a 71/72 Blazer for sale. It's a 4wd, 350 auto, but seems decent. He's an old guy and has owned it forever. I can get you some info and a phone number if you want. You could always put a 2wd front clip under it. I would buy it myself, but I just don't have time or money for a project right now.
driver64 03-25-2005, 11:58 PM i like the saskatoon idea because i am already here

Rollie396 04-26-2005, 10:23 PM just stumbled across this today in the Trader word adds.
'70 3/4 panel.350,says it needs a complete resto.$1850 is the asking price.
I'd love to look myself, but I have a project and my wife would prolly kill me and bury me in that project. ;)
If anyone is interested, pick up the heavy equipment trader or feel free to PM me for the ph#.I'm not sure the fella would want it posted on the net.
low burb 04-27-2005, 06:54 PM Darren (classicchev) had Russell look at it (the panel) and he took some pics and posted them on the board. It wasn't very pretty and seemed like quite a bit for what you got, if I recall.
grnddwn 04-27-2005, 07:08 PM I heard Noel decideed to keep his truck and bailed on the Tahoe idea. Oh weel I tried, I'll keep checking around.
Russell 04-27-2005, 08:51 PM yeah, that panel was a peice of junk. I wouldn't buy it.
On the other hand, someone SHOULD buy my 89, lol
I need the money to finish my 80 :whine:
low burb 04-28-2005, 12:54 PM Thanks for that grnddwn. I appreciated the lead.
Dean23 04-28-2005, 08:27 PM my 68 is still for sale, see the picks on the trucks for sale board.

Hey guys I'm still looking.
Anyone out there willing to sell a project?
Also, has anyone on this board brought in trucks from the US
What is involved and what is the cost
Seems like there are lots of projects for sale south of the border
Any input is appreciated
Thanks

ronh72c10 07-27-2005, 12:29 PM Bringing a truck across the border is very simple. Most importantly the title must be clear. Fax the Title to the border at the point of entry that you plan on coming back through at least 3 days before you come back up. When coming up stop at the US side of the border and get the original title stamped as "Exported" by US Customs. Declare the vehicle to Canada customs and they will handle the paperwork to import it, and they'll take your money for the PST. At that point you're done with importing, after that take the paperwork to the motor vehicle office to register it in Canada.
BTW any vehicle >>newer<< than 15 years old has to be brought up to canadian specs (metric gauges etc) and thus is probably not worth importing.
As I recall costs were PST at the border and GST when you register it, no duty if it's a North Americian built car. You'll also have to pay an airconditioning surcharge if applicable.
I'm thinking about selling the 72 4x4 and maybe the 72 2wd truck, probably too far for you though.
Ron
