Every once in a while...sad huh?

It is my daliy driver, and I am in the military, so if something were to happen to it, I would be in a heap of trouble.

Once the blazer is payed off...I am actually going to put it up for sale. It is hard to even consider it, but I NEED something to haul the blazer. Renting from U-Haul everytime I need to move it is a pain in the a$$...

It is hard to put up for sale though, seeing as the time and money I have into it...it is almost like selling your own child :( haha

You know it is hard to believe there is only 5 of us on this site. When you look at the amount of members. When I drive around and going to work I see a lot of 4X4's on the road, some old some new, some I would never touch.

I'm in Perry Hall. I have met cableguy0 and gizmo!. Hey harleyd_1903- I have a 71' truck for sale listed in the trucks for sale forum if interested. :)

harleyd_1903
08-03-2005, 07:51 PM
Hi 70c10, I took a look at the truck, you have for sale. Very nice lookin. Its a bit more than I was wanting to spend right now, But Im gonna check with my banker (wife) and see what the finances look like. :) it dont look like it has power brakes? So i guess they are drum up front? Kinda lookin for a beater i can work on, but but that one would save me alot of work. Ill Let ya know something soon.

70c10
08-04-2005, 07:44 AM
It has factory disc brakes that are manual. It's easy and cheap to add a booster. If you are serious about the truck I will give you a really good deal on it. ;) . It's usually cheaper in the long run to buy a truck like this that is already done.

harleyd_1903
08-04-2005, 08:19 PM
Im in the process of talkin with the bank. what kinda deal you talking about? drop me a line at harleyd_1903@yahoo.com If ya rather discuss it thru email. PS: are any of yall heading to carlise this weekend? Just wondering .

70c10
08-04-2005, 09:55 PM
harleyd_1903- I lowered the price today to $4000 firm. Like I stated in the post, the truck is not show quality but you would still be hard pressed to find one around here as nice for the money. The truck is also currently advertised locally.

harleyd_1903
08-08-2005, 07:43 PM
Man, this maryland thread is quite. whats everybody up too? Did anyone go to Carlise? I went saturday, the weather was great. Plenty of parts and trucks to be bought. I didnt get either. Im still working on getting finances straight to go look at 70c10's truck. I havent forgot ya 70c10. Is it still available? well thats enough from me, lets here from some of yall. :blah: :blah:

I didn't need anything from Carlisle this year that's why I didn't go. I would have liked to advertise the 71' up there. It's still for sale!. The alternator went up Sunday so I bought a new one last night and hopefully have it in tonight. I sanded and painted the brackets last night.

My buddy went to a car cruise in your neck of the woods at Glen Burnie mall Saturday night and said it was over 300 cars there and a few 67-72 trucks. I may have to check it out this coming weekend!.

Hay 70c10 looks like we both have Bdays coming up next month. Mine is the 24th. Most have been a great month. I have not been to the one in Brooklyn yet but have been to the Glen Burnie one every saturday since they satrted this year. harleyd 1903. Greg what are you driving down/up there? Don't know what part of MD you are from. Lst me know about this saturday. This would be a good spot for a get to gether, only they do not allow any alcohol there. This is about the fourth place they have tried to stay at since last year. It seems that the RICE burners get ther also and that's where the problems start. The last spot thery were at was just donw the street from me and the alcohol from the ricers got them thrown out. Like I said before let me know.

Whats up Art, October was a god month for b-days, Mine is the 15th. :metal: Ill probably be riding my Harley saturday night if i make it down there. It still in the air for me, we have a cookout to go too, hopefully we will be leaving that early so my wife can go visit her brother. Then ill go to Glen Burnie. My Address Is Curtis Bay, I actually live In Anne Arundel County about a mile from the cityline on fort smallwood rd.
The cruise in Brooklyn Isnt as big as the Glen burnie one. Maybe 50 or so cars, plus all of them show up at glen burnie the next night. Some cars also hang out at the Brusters Ice cream place on Aqua heart road on friday nights. The rice burners dont stop and park with the others at the glen burnie mall cruise. There is a sign saying something like the certain year of cars that can park in the roped off areas. Even the newr corvettes were parked offto the side . :c2: well thats enough ramblim for me. Ya'll have a good day Greg

Cableguy0. If you are coming down by the Key Bridge you would take the Curtis Bay exit. Make a left off of the ramp to the light, make a right go over the bridge and make a left onto ordence rd. Go to the 5th light and make a left onto the parking lot at the stop sign make another left and go around the back of the mall and follow it around to the front and that is where everyone is at, if you are coming down 695 take the eit for glen burnie/dmv and go to the second working light and make a left onto the lot everyone is on the right. Any one that wants to come can us the above dierctions. Greg I'm right in Ferndale. Know the Curtis Bay area and Anne Arundle area very well. Was born/raised in ferndale and moved back here in 91 after I retired from the Coast Guard. I'm there every saturday night since it is only 5 minutes from the house. Will be looking for anyone.

He is up here for a couple months working at Auto Body Plus to get thing caught up. He was working at a Custom Bike shop but they closed up on him and did not tell him about it. He went into work on a Monday and they were empty. Still own him two weeks pay. He is there main body man there. Nice area. I like it might retire down there, housing is not expensive. The home my son bought for $100,000. would sell here for over 250t. 4 bedroom,21/2 bath,2car garage,1 1/2 acre land, and was just 2 years old last year when he got it. Nice new neighborhood. So you were one of Uncle Sam's Miss Guided Children. Just kidding, when I was on River Patrol we worked with some of them, but most of the time we had the Army 9th with us along with the Seals. Do you drive you truck to work? If so I might stop by one day and take a look.

No one around to bother you and we have sat tv to watch all night as long as we do our checks and stay awake. What are your plans for the truck? Also how about some pic's? When I was stationed in Miami we used to stop in Lumberton overnight on our way up here. Had a real good resturant right next to the motel and served a really big breakfeast and not too expensive, but that was in the 70's and 80's.
