my horn does not work in my 89 sliverado. i took the horn out of the truck and hooked it up straight to the battery and it worked but when i push the button on the steering wheel i get nothing. what fuse does the horn run on? any other ideas?

If that's not it, maybe your horn button is not grounding or the wire is not connected or your relay is bad.

Owners manuel should show it.

The relay is usually sitting loose right above the fuse box. Its a little clear / black box with three prongs coming out of the bottom.

if everything else checks out, check horn's ground. moreover, check the horn button's contacts/surfaces in steering wheel.
