I bought some trim parts from the Truck Shop in Orange, CA.
Some questions:

1. The front grill on a '67.. There's no inner mesh to stop rocks from hitting the radiator?

2. I have the CHEVROLET letters for the front hood. My hood's letter holes have been filled and painted. I can see the bondo overflowing from the holes on the inside. If I drill the holes out again from the inside will this peel or chip the paint larger than the hole? Do you just masking tape the paint before drilling?

Stephen, nope there's no protection for the radiator on these trucks.

As far as drilling out the holes for the letters, I feel you would be safer drilling from the outside in. Lay some tape down in the area and drill through the tape. The only problem is locating everything.

If your holes were filled with bondo the way most of the ones I have seen are (dented in with a pick hammer and then filled) you will have some work to do to. I don't think you would be able to get by without some sanding and paint work...

You could try drilling through from the inside with a SMALL bit to minumize the damage and then drill thru again from the outside with a larger bit.

Good luck, Roger
