Anybody here planning on going to SuperRun (www.superrun.ca) in Saskatoon on the August long weekend?

I hope to, went a few years ago and there were tons of awesome cars and trucks. Well worth the trip. Vehicles were spaced out well too, unlike the sardine can feeling of Cruise Weekend in Saskatoon where everyone is crammed in downtown.

Hopefully I'll make the trek up. A few years ago was excellent. My truck won't be done, but I've got other vehicles I can take.

I have made plans to go. Last time I went as a spectator, and this time I am taking my truck.

oh man that would be cool. Never been to this event. We usually go to Draggins show At easter time and then we get to Cruise weekend in August. I would love to go this year but my little brother is gettin married on those days!

Dubie thats too bad..I personally enjoyed the Run alot more than cruise night. But there is always another year you can attend.

That sounds cool I will have to check deans days off

Anybody in town for that weekend give me a call and we can all try and meet up.

I mailed in my registration form this morning and I am now trying to book a room at the Saskatoon Inn.

Looks like I'm coming we booked the rooms yesterday.

I have been at many shows this winter and spring and i think superrun is going to be huge this yr. I booked 5 rooms 4 months ago at the colonial inn on 8th st and i think there was still some room there. It's kinda handy to have your room,liquir board store.restraunt and bar right on the cruise street.

I think it would be way kewl if all the truck guys could meet at some watering hole in s'toon for a couple of hours.

Hey Radman are you the guy I met at Draggins and Cruise weekend last year? Is your truck the one with the one piece windows and the catskins leather on a late model seat? If so it's good to see that you finally made it to the board.

Yep, i'm the one. What ya driving? I must have talked to a couple hundred people those weekends. It was a great time at both. To bad the cruise weekend got rained out on sat night.

A guy down here in Estevan told me about this site. It's great. A lot of local people.

Any chance a group of us getting together at superrun someplace. I see there's drags on that weekend. Maybe a run out to the drags?? or Just meet someplace on 8th.

We have the 3rd annual T&T rodrun here next weekend. It's located 7 miles out of town at this guys farm and it is a great time. Should be about a 100 cars,trucks,ratrods. projects, What have you. Just come!!! 10 bucks gets you a roast beef supper with all the fixns and a great laid back atmosphere.

There is a burnout contest, engine blow contest, Door prizes, and a 1500watt generater will be given away as well as a portapower unit with all the ends. Good time had by all!!! BYOB

When are the drags?

Is anybody interested in trying to park together on Saturday at SuperRun?

I thought I would contact SuperRun and ask if they offer group reservations.

Please post if you are interested in group parking.

Oh we remember this truck from Cruise weekend last August. Tim remembers it because it was the only truck he's ever seen that he could see his reflection in the bed wood. Very sweet ride!

Thx for the compliment!! It took 2 months to do the wood. The wood is ash and it is covered in 8 coats of marine spar varnish. You brush it on and leave it for a week to dry. Then every friday night after supper i would go out to the garage and wet sand it out with a block and 800 grit, wipe it down, then put another coat on. The final was done with 1500 grit dry and then rubbed out and polished the same as the paint job was. ( wife is pi**ed off because the hard wood looks better in the truck than the hardwood we have in our house!!!) hahahaha

Sounds good about parking but there is a group of us going and i don't know if they want to stick together.
It would be way kewl to meet in regina on friday night and we all cruise into s'toon together.

unfortunately we are unable to atend super run this year because my brother is gettin married. But if we could have made it, we would have been trailering this down

Gonna try and make an apperance there if I can ever get some holidays, might even have my truck done by then

Super run is a month away and nobody has confirmed a meeting place so here goes an idea.
On sat night every one cruises on 8th st. sombody pull into a parking lot along that route and the rest could join in. I don't know s'toon that well so maybe sombody who is from there could give us a idea on a good lot.
I was thinking around 8:30 or 9:00 pm

Hi Radman.. I think your idea of us all trying to meet when the Superrun is on is Super.. Although 8th St is the Cruising Street there is not a lot of places along where 20 or so trucks could park without ticking some landlord/business owner off. I am suggesting that if we went to The Circle Park mall at the east end of 8th St and if we parked at the far east end of the mall lot in front of where the old Wal Mart was we should be okay to gather there at 8:30 / 9:00 with no hassles. What does everone think of this idea, or does anyone have different suggestion? Stingray what do you think?, you know 8th St as well as I do !!
