Ive had the problem for a while with my 1990 chevy 1500 that once i turn on my wipers usually dont turn off untill either i stop the car, or just at a random time usually longer than 5 mins. i have no clue what to problem is, nor do i know where to start looking for a fix. any help is much appreciated.

I have a similar problem with my 87 burb. Mine seems to be mal-functioning in the delay wiper circuit. My fix will start with a known good delay relay, and go from there.

lilcurtis, it sounds like the circuit panel on the front of the motor is bad. common problem. they are available from most parts stores under the HELP line. there is 2 different ones depending on whether you have delay wipers or not.
