I have a 68 SWB and my truck's lights flicker while driving. The interior light, the dash lights, headlights, everything. It is more noticeable while accelerating. I've recently had the alternator rebuilt and the guy claims nothing is wrong with. I've also replaced the voltage regulator and put a new ground strap from the block to the firewall. Is there anything else that could cause this? It's really irritating. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. Start with the major connections like grounding and the firewall junction to the fuse block. Be sure the connections are clean and corrosion free. Re-assemble with dielectric greas, it helps prevent corrosion. Be sure the ground cable ends are connected to bare metal, clean with 180 grit sandpaper. Make sure there is a ground path, you said you added strap from the block to the firewall, is there cables to the frame and block.

Double check alternator fan belt tension and also on Power steering belt, [and AC if so equipped].

I'll get out there tonight and check my ground for corrosion. Hopefully it's something simple. Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know what I find.
