It would be alot of fun. Just an idea. My parent's run and organize the Fenelon Car Truck Show on Civic weekend. Free unserviced camping and a dance Saturday night. Crusie is 5-9 down the parkway. 68gmcdually 07-04-2005, 11:58 AM There is also a good show in Bothwell on August 6 th. We are trying to make it to it as well. 72MARIO 07-04-2005, 04:32 PM Hey Andrew, I got Rickey Dance (stouffville local) coming up Tuesday to help me fire up and break in my motor in my 67. It's pretty much done Just need to blead the breaks and get a frontend alignment. Then it's driveable Maybe at the Hauggens (sp) show Wednesday. I would be interested in going to a few show's annywhere within in a 6 hour drive. How do you think it will feel to drive around with no rear shocks ? I have been waiting over 2 months for my 6" drop shocks to arrive and they still are not here. 68gmcdually 07-04-2005, 05:20 PM Bothwell car show has everything. It is put on by "Old Autos", the classic car newspaper, made in Bothwell. They normally have 500+ vehicles. I am hauling a '60 F-100 down behind my '68 GMC. Should be an impressive sight going down the road. 72Mario: Let me know if you are going to Haugen's any time soon and if I can swing it I will be there. Stingray42 07-04-2005, 06:08 PM mario- hauguens should work, maybe we could even get everyone to hook up at "The Big One" in August. its a huge show, about 1200-1500 cars show up and they have live music, great people and good food. I'll get the dates if anyones interested. its in Manchester, near port perry. Rickey lives on the west side of stouffville on Stouffville rd south side right? He's always gots all sorts of neat stuff layin around his yard, i'm sure he's quite knowledgable. Shocks? no problem, it will be a bit bouncy a ride, and you'll get wheelhop if you stomp on it, but should be ok! Wanna hit hauguens soonish? I will have my wildcat goin in the next week or so! 68GMCdually- you in? rick- barrie flea market is on in august too 68gmcdually 07-04-2005, 09:07 PM This is an excellent time to hit Haugen's, they have the best Strawberry Pie in the restaurant during berry season. Let me know and I will be there. 72MARIO 07-04-2005, 09:59 PM I think this wednesday will be pushing it. But I wil try. For sure next Wednesday. My girlfriend will have to meet us there because she works till 7:30 or so over in Aurora .James I will meet you there. There is also a show in Uxbridge at the old Dominion Auto building. Oh and I did not see your truck ant the cannington show. There was a sweet 68 Pro Street truck and lots of cars. But the Dually was missing..... Andrew, I know all I need to know to get it running Just need the extra hands. Rickey having a bit of experiance will be helpful. My parent's are in Africa for the next month so dads not around to help out. What year wildcat do you have ? Is is a Stocker and how much work does it need to get it running ? Stingray42 07-04-2005, 11:20 PM Right on man, The Wildcat is a 64, with a 425 Nailhead under the hood 2 door ragtop, all stock Gotta adjsut the floats, but some new skins on her and then i'll be driving it, to make it nice i need a new top :D big bucks! i'll shoot for next wed to have the car done! Everyone who can make it will meet somewhere, perhaps the bridge or at the picnic tables around 7? Who else is in? 68gmcdually 07-05-2005, 10:14 AM 72MARIO: The dually was sitting in the garage at home, we where buffing it and where not quite done. I got there late, as the wife had the day off. My dad and his best friend had his '60 Ford F-100 (cream & turquoise) there in along the back road. I was there from about 1:30 to about 2:45 then we left to go to my house for a BBQ. Wasn't a half bad show, there where a few ladies walking around that should have had judging cards though. 68gmcdually 07-07-2005, 07:49 AM I am in for the Haugen's meet next Wednesday. I went last night as well, pretty good crowd, got there kinda late though, about 7:30. Just in time for dinner and strawberry pie. Anyone else there last night? 72MARIO 07-07-2005, 09:05 AM I went out to bills to get my rear shocks and straight home to clean the fire extungisher (sp) powder up that covered my entire under hood oft the 67 after my Holly Carb caught on fire and nearly burnt the 67 to the ground. 68gmcdually 07-07-2005, 09:29 AM I am glad that you got your shocks, that will make for a better ride. Sorry to hear about the little fire, that has always been one of my biggest fears. In fact I did that to my S-15 over the winter, it certainly gets the heart racing. 72MARIO 07-07-2005, 05:18 PM I will keep trying for wednesday. My new 650 Demon Carb will be in friday. Stingray42 07-07-2005, 10:15 PM Boys, I may make it, but I probably wont... I just lost a close buddy last night and... well i've got the next week tied up with alot of things to do, and i wont have any time to look at the car... much less drive it over there. i'll try, but i think i'll be taking a raincheck 68gmcdually 07-08-2005, 09:17 AM I am still aiming for wednesday as well. I am having major electrical problems, I have headlights and front signals but that is about it. 72MARIO 07-08-2005, 04:46 PM Well I have head lights/tail but no reverse lights or front signals..... Checked your fuze or where the taillight harness plugs into the firewall ? and doubble check the taillight harness thru frame connection. Also make sure you have a ground from the box to the frame. 68gmcdually 07-08-2005, 05:24 PM Thanks, I forgot to mention that they work fine with the regular 1157 bulbs but malfunction when I use my LED 1157's. I am going to try the LED's in my S-15 tonight and see if they are defective or if it's my truck not liking using less power. 72MARIO 07-09-2005, 09:11 AM Dont you neeed a eletrice (sp) flasher with the LED's ? 68gmcdually 07-10-2005, 01:28 PM I bought another new set and replaced both rear ones, one works fine now and the other works on signal and tail light but not both at the same time. I am hoping that it is another defective one. GMC69 07-16-2005, 01:03 AM Well it may be a bit late, and not southern, but I am in Ontario, up in Sudbury, so Northern Ontario, LOL. I just recently came back to the forum to check things out cause I am getting the truck bug once again. I still don't have mine back on the road and it looks like it will be a while before it does get running again. 72MARIO 07-16-2005, 08:47 AM Lets meet this Wednesday. Around 7:00pm ?
