Does anyone know how to remove this damn thing? It is in my ied_s7.cab file. I have ran Norton 2005 and it finds it but will not remove it. I have ran trends online scan and it does not even find it. I am also running Adaware SE the newest version and it will not help either. Anyone have a solution? Any help would greatly be appreciated!

If it is not gone after doing all of the steps given, I'll be happy to help if you'll give me a Hijackthis log (please don't give me the log unless you've actually done the steps in that post :))

Thanks for the help. I will try the other stuff. I have ran other online virus programs but nothing else is picking up the program but Norton.

I'm surprised. I'm just razzing you with the Norton thing. I just hate their products as a whole. They seem to create more complex problems than they fix.

Let me know if you need anymore help. I've found other places that have online scanners which remove this thing, one of the German guys in the office has helped me to translate a lot of the webpages I'm finding in Google regarding the infection.

restart the computer into safe mode then run Norton and AVG Free ( www.grisoft.com )..
just after the BIOS screen disappears... continuously hit F8 until it gives you a startup screen with choices like Start Normally, Last known good configuration, Safe Mode etc...

screwball, just for clarification, are you suggesting to install and run two virus programs on the same computer? This is a very bad idea and can lead to a plethora of problems....
