Sorry, I was seriously busy this weekend. Life is kicking my ass lately...too much going on, not enough time.

Looks like you're running HJT from a zipped folder. Right-click this link and choose "save as" to save it to a folder on your computer: http://216.180.233.162/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe

Now, what I see in this new log is that something is still auto-loading itself into the computer and it's bad, it's a Trojan, no doubt. This is the file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vrzavu.exe

"reg_run" is the giveaway phrase you'll see below that ID's it as a trojan...and each time you reboot, it reloads itself on the computer. Most forms of this trojan have password stealers, keyloggers and other nasty tools in them to steal your personal information.

These are the bad lines:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gsaxojw] c:\windows\system32\alckdg.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\vrzavu.exe reg_run

Now ... the fun part. This is a known trojan and I'd like to see it gone. We'll try this method before resorting to the free online scanner at www.trojanscan.com :

Download the FindQoologic-Narrator.zip and save it to your Desktop: http://forums.net-integration.net/index...&id=134981

The above files written by O_E were written specifically for this infection and is not to be used on any other infection as it could damage a person's PC

1. Extract (unzip) the files (copy them from the zip folder) into their own folder called FindQoologic.
2. Open the FindQoologic folder.
3. Locate and double-click the Activesetup.vbs file to run it.
Please wait until a "Finished" message appears.

* When the set-up is complete a file named "Activesetup components[Machine ID][date].txt" will have been saved in the FindQoologic folder.

4. Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat to run it.

* The tool will open a DOS window and begin to check your system.
When it is finished a text file will open in Notepad called "file.txt".
* Save this text file in the FindQoologic folder.

5. Open the "Activesetup components[Machine ID][date].txt" file and the file you saved and copy / paste their contents to this thread (as a reply).

ok, i tried the things you suggested, but the link was invalid, so i ran the REALLY LONG search from the other trojan finder. it found a whole bunch of stuff, some of which i recognized from our corespondence. i tried to search and delete these, and was successful with 2. i then ran a Hijack this, the results are as follows: (and i see some of the same stuff you told me to delete, but when i search for it, i come up empty.)

Here's something slightly purjured from somewhere else:

Download and install CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) but don't run it just yet.

Boot into Safe Mode by tapping F8 at system startup ( If your are unsuccessful, read this: http://www.whtvcable.com/virusremoval%20.htm )

When in safe mode, Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer/File Explorer windows are close. Have Hijack this fix the following lines (again) by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting fix checked.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gsaxojw] c:\windows\system32\alckdg.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\vrzavu.exe reg_run

Find and delete if present:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\alckdg.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vrzavu.exe

While still in Safe Mode, run CCleaner using its default settings.

Now reboot normally and post a new HJT log.
