Do to lack of participation and the fact that a new first time car
show is scheduled that same weekend I'm cancelling my cookout,
just not enough interest in it this year, maybe next year, maybe :(

Last year it was October 16th, Weather was darn near perfect, so I
really don't care when, as long as there is a crowd, Like to see some
20 - 25 peeps there, I have the room, and I LUV company here also.

:c2: I will keep you informed, I guess I have a bad rep on here :( ,
I'm offering a place to meet, free food, and I always seem to be begging
for people to come  It will be my last if it turns into another no show.

I am in the process of moving back to Memphis. My trucks are still under construction, but I would like to meet other board members. Just let me know when and where.

Must not be many on here, like it says, this is cookout #2, only 8 peeps last year :(

I always invite some of the locals, however final #'s always seems to be an issue
here, I can only plan food accordingly w/ a lil notice, if I plan to feed everyone

I may be on the wrong side of the state, but I'm in need of a road trip. I'll try to plan for it. I can make an adventure out of anything. The hard part is going to be convincing my wife to drive 275 miles for a cookout.

Hope to see you then Craig. :c2:

I'm up for October myself Craig either date. I won't vote for either one because they both are fine. I'm working the weekend of the 15th, but I can get off early to come down. I'm off the 22nd, though.

If everything works out, my wife and I would like to come. What are you going to have lined up for us to work on? I can't commit 100% just due to the length of time between now and then. And I don't care what gas cost I won't be there without one of my trucks!

LUV2XCLR8
07-31-2005, 10:20 PM
If I get my cooling fans, like yours :D I'm going to swap out my H20 pump,
pulleys, remove my flex fan, PS pump and maybe get my A/C bolted on, all
of this is a little contingent on $ for the fans, as I always tell Shan & Deb,
"AFEW72'S" anyone coming that far is welcome to stay here if needed. :hm:

I think it should be a requirement for us to have to drive our trucks to your place, Craig. Well, unless we don't have one :(

 Brian as much as I would like to see a yard full of trucks, I can't force
anyone to drive theirs, last year I had 2 guys come that would not have
been able to if I had made that a requirement, but if it keeps getting a lil
bigger and bigger every year it might end up where nobody wants to come
w/o their pride and joy to show off, or for us to help them work on it. ;)

Do I need to bring some tools and gloves?

Only tools I can think of that I don't own are pulley pullers, and as for
the gloves, well no one is gonna twist your arm and make you work :hm:

Starting to look like it might be a pretty big event, still have not heard from
a few of my regulars, but they don't check in as often, as of now I'm going
to get 10 POUNDS of fresh pulled PORK BBQ :D Man I'm hungry already

Well I just lost 2 more peeps, ASA & his better half are not coming,
something came up, I keep telling myself to have these cookouts or
board meets, whatever you want to call them, because I have alot
of space here in the country, but my numbers are falling off since it
has begun, looks like this will be my last attempt at one of these, it
is in no way anyone who can't comes fault, it just cost quite a bit
of cheese for no one to come and me to wine, if you can come we
will have a blast, did at the last 2, ttt for some more interest? :(

I would love to come over, but it's just too dern far away. Now, I have a buddy who is stationed at Fort something-or-other, KY. Everything but the CO's house and the post office are in TN though. If we visit them on our way to NE(he lives in CLarkesville, TN I think) then we can stop by; but that probably won't be until Feb. Why NE you ask? Another buddy of mine lives in Ord, NE.

Craig,
Months ago, when you posted the poll, I had planned to go to Cruisin' the Coast in the first week of October, then come to your place for some BBQ and fellowship. Well, Katrina did away with Cruisin' the Coast, and as of today, the doctors may have cancelled my trip to Beech Bluff, TN.
The tumor behind Donna's right eye has grown significantly and we are considering surgery to remove it (and everything around it for that matter). The would-be lead surgeon called today and told us they have scheduled the surgery for October 18. As of now, Donna is not too gung-ho to go under the knife, since the procedure is risky and does not make much difference long term. Needless to say, we've got some thinking to do and some decisions to make.
Y'all take care, and say a prayer for us,would ya?

George
