My 1994 Suburban is cutting off when i go to stop the battery light comes on and the gauge light come on. But it starts right back up. Can someone tell me what might be the problem. Thanks

It needs some attention, perhaps the air filter is clogged? Spark plugs may need changing, or distributor cap/ign wires may be shot? I'd start with a good tune-up, (if it's been a while) and go from there.

I don't know about the tune up thing, oddly enough those engines will either run or completely fall on their face. However they do get all sorts of battery connection problems like what you are talking about. Just things that don't make sense. Sometimes you will find that the terminals actually in the battery will start to pull loose and work fine one second on not the next. Something else you might look at is the ground for the cluster,ecm,abs mounted right at the base of the dash on the driver side. It is located right next to the connector you would use for a scanner. Like I said these trucks get weird ground problems when the basics just don't solve it. I actually had a 90 model that wouldn't start because the bolts that secure the fuse box to the firewall were gone. That one took forever to figure out.
