Make sure you go pick up the necessary lock plate compressor before you tear into it. You will need it to get to the switch if I remember right. Also make sure you have some small torx bits. I think that is what is necessary to get the switch out. Can't really remember for sure.
Good Luck!

I got that stuff, thanks. I guess my real question is how to get the lock out without being able to turn the key. Its been 20 years since Ive tore into one of these.

That is why you need the torx driver. There should be a single screw used to retain the switch. You may not even have to remove the turn signal switch do take it out. When you do all of this you may want to lubricate all of the linkages to make it all move easier to prevent this from happening again. Also if you can get the key you can remove the tumbler in the cylinder to keep the same key code. That is what I do at the dealer I work at.

Just like you said man. Thanks.
I couldnt find my lockplate compressor so I made one. Took about 20min.
Other than that it was a piece of cake.

The rest of the story...
Pulled the cylinder out of a 95 van.
It wont fit. I was told they were all the same.
Oh well, $16 for a new one aint bad.

Correction....
A little dremel tool action on the lock and it fits. Works like a champ.
