Its a 355 with TK forged pistons,Mexican foundry block which is balanced and has the original type 292 heads with Hedman headers with lots more. A 400 trannie with a 2600 B&M stall in it. Pushing around 430 HP in total with my Faverite Toy. 72MARIO 07-03-2005, 12:18 AM Cool, I hope to have all the kinks worked out of my 67 it's Torch red. If you cant see it you will hear it. 3" dual and Super 40's should do the truck. Hope to see you there. blueglass 07-03-2005, 06:58 PM We will sound like twins as thats what I am running with cut off dump pipes about 4"s behind the cab. A friend of mine has almost the twin truck to yours except his engine is out of it right now. He lives in Lambeth. 72MARIO 07-03-2005, 10:57 PM How loud is that Driving around ? My buddie is coming up tuesday to help me start my truck up and break in the motor. 68gmcdually 07-08-2005, 06:30 PM I would love to hit that show. Looks like it is mostly late model stuff although. Is that the same weekend as Syracuse NY, 1968GMC (Martin) is going there that weekend I think. At least I don't have to worry about which one I should go too, since I have to work anyways. Have fun guys. If I can swing it I will be in London on Sunday though. blueglass 07-08-2005, 09:32 PM Congrats on your marraige, many years of enjoying your toys together. I don't know which weekend the truck show is in the US but the one in London is July 15-17th. Sat the 16th is party day with some very good track live entertainment, mud running in some trucks and we have seen it on foot as well. Sunday the 17th is when the judgeing is done and there is more mud mess to watch. Funny stuff. Trucks from the very beginning of them to the some newer ones but more older rare stuff then new. Around 650 trucks and some good vendors as well. 68gmcdually 07-10-2005, 10:26 PM Thanks, I am very fortunate Sharon is very supportive of me and my old truck. Not allowed to do up another one until our unborn children are done post secondary education though. So this show is open to modifieds and originals too right. I might just try to make it done there for Sunday. blueglass 07-11-2005, 02:53 PM Yes this show is open to all makes and models of trucks and it dosen't matter if they are totally finished or not. We are always under construction as far as I am concerned so no matter what your vehicle looks like you are very welcome to the show. This is a lot of Fun this show. 72MARIO 07-11-2005, 04:51 PM Well I hope I can make it. I am waiting on me Demon carb to arrive. Then I can break it in. It going to be a good break in run that's for sure. Dont think it will be totally finished but it will be driveable and safe. blueglass 07-11-2005, 10:45 PM I sure hope you can make it as it is a great show. I have been going for 5 years now with my truck but also around 10 years before this as a spectator. Sat is the social day where we park anywhere and have Good Visits and Fun. The competition is Sunday only and we are placed in our class's then as we arrive. 72MARIO 07-13-2005, 09:40 PM Well it's running SDOUNDS KILLER !. I still need(have to finish) a Cert, front end alignment, seat belts, bolt seat in, wipers/squriters, shorter U bolts, install front shock, and my wheel cyl is leaking brand frigging new WTF ? That really pisses me off. Well I omost dont think I will make it.... We will see not sure if it's a good Idea to take it that far the first timeout. blueglass 07-14-2005, 12:01 AM Thats part of the adventure of building a old vehicle. Sounds like you are very close to the big moment with it. You still have a few days and most of the work is not all that bad for time if you jump on it. Easier said then done I know. Been there. 72MARIO 07-15-2005, 01:51 AM Well mabye Saturday morning I can make it out there. I have to get the front end done friday afternoon. I took it around the block for the first time sure does handle and feel nice. Very Responsive. blueglass 07-15-2005, 01:09 PM That would be nice if you can as I will be there at the front end of the park which is the Dundas St side in the morning. The gates open around 8AM and there is alot of shade in that area. Look for the White truck and you will find me. I will try to save you some parking room with us up front. I know the good spots to park as its going to be very Hot again. 72MARIO 07-16-2005, 08:52 AM Well there just are not enough hours in a day I was up till 4:30 thursday and 3:30 friday night. I still have a few things to do and I need saturday to finish it up. Sorry I really thought I would be able to get out there. I wanted to be out there so bad. Kinda sucks. I really cant think of a night where I could have gotten the hours I need to finish it up in. Oh woops mabye not been on the board so much. Next year it will be perfected for the show. I was thinking of putting it in the Speedo Rama show this winter. Hopw you had a awesome day at the show. blueglass 07-16-2005, 05:22 PM Just came back from the show as its raining quite hard here right now. We do need the rain tho as my lawns are like shredded wheat in colour. About 450 trucks to-day and there will be many more to-morrow for the competition. I always go early to this show for the "Shade Parking". Saves having to put up my shade tent this way. There is only 5 like ours there today with 3 of them being Chev's and my long box and a shortie GMC. 2 of the Chevies are flamed. They look pretty good, a 68 and a 69. The Gates open around 7AM tomorrow again. They place us in series for the judging. MorePower 07-17-2005, 10:21 AM Hey I am from London too. I didn't put my truck in becasue they wanted me to commit to being there 3 days and also the weather has been rainging all weekend, maybe next year!!! blueglass 07-17-2005, 09:58 PM You don't have to commit for the 3 days as Friday Night is the Cruise and Party night. Sat is the social day and many come just for this day only. Plus its party night again at Cheap Charlies's I think. Sunday is the Competition day where we line up in our respective class's. I won the 72 and older class for the GM and Chevies. It did rain yesterday around 4.30 and again a few times but it was worth it completely. The Fund raising is for CF. 72MARIO 07-18-2005, 09:17 PM Thats awesome you won. I should have come down sunday but it was not totally finished I needed another 25 more bolts for the box.I took it to Huntsville camping. Smacked about 700 miles on the odometer. Hit up a small show and everyone was all over it. Not to be pridefull but it was the 2nd cleanest there. There wss a cool COE all John Deer Style. The truck ran basically flawless except for a small tranny leak. Very nice runner. The Demon Carb is awesome. Well thew canadian street nationals are in Barrie this weekend. I will be there. It's open to trucks. Should be fun. Later Buddie. |
