I just attended the North west motor fest this weekend and it was great they had alot of things going on and there where close to or over 700 cars trucks in attendace. I was kinda dissapointed in the turn out of Trucks hint hint so next year I suggest everyone from the north west make the trek down and join in It isn't a judged show so just bring what ya got. This year they had the capitol city cruise where they shut down part of down town Boise for a cruise night it was rather cool. The events also included a hole shot 100 ft drag race open to anybody that was participant at the show with a stop light start and they also had lawn mower drag racing. I have to say the people that put on the show where great. So if you plan on being in the area around July 1,2,3 next year plan on joining in.

sweet man. how many years have they been doing this for? do they do the same things every year? if so, I definitely might have to go over there and watch. I don't think i would ever enter my truck in a show (I have a feeling they're not big fans of offroad rigs), but it would be fun to see the cars.

I think this was the 3rd year they have done this, went on Saturday meself, and was cussing cause I dont have a camera. There were all kinds of vehicles, ranging from nostalgic hot rods, through classic trucks (and they had a good turnout of trucks), off roadies and a few of the "oh them stickers is worth 40 horse each" rice burners. Well worth seeing.
Almost forgot, they also have a growing swap meet and a vendor's area now I gotta hide some of these pieces parts from the wife

I know what you mean on camera's...every time i need one, whether it's a truck I see, or a beautiful view i see when i go camping, I never have it!
As far as the parts...if the she spots them, just say they showed up on the doorstep, lol.

Well I spent all three days there I entered the wifes car in it but I can tell you what you can enter anything. They had all kinds of cars and trucks in diffrent kinds of stages of restoration and diffrent levels also. Here is an example there was a 64-65 Dodge Dart that they pulled out of a barn three weeks earlier cleaned it off and fired her up and brought her to the show. So you can bring anything I enjoyed it imensely. This year was the first cruise around the valley which was about 200 miles and the first Saturday night cruise in downtown Boise. I will be there next year and hopefully the truck will be back on the road it won't be painted unless some one wants to Sponser it ;o)

That show is getting better and better, although the first year was awesome when they had every year corvette there.

I even saw Charley Hutton (American Hotrod guy that now works for Foose) checking out some cars on Sunday. Rumor has it, he is opening a shop here in Idaho again. That should be sweet.

He is from a small town right outside Boise called Nampa yeah I have talked to Charley before this last show He was at the Boise Roadster show in March I also got to meet Chip and get his autograph. I thought Courtney would have been more hospitable but she just wondered around the show Saturday and Sunday with her boy friend. Any way I had a great time checking out all the 55 Chevy's they had there this year.
