I just bought an 81 chevy van (ok, it's not a truck, but it's close) and I'm looking for a good local shop to get everything running tip-top. The previous owner had it parked for a year, so I had to replace pretty much the whole brake system because it was all siezed. The carb's acting up too. The previous owner said he put a new (rebuilt) carb on about a year ago, but I don't think it was ever adjusted properly because it smells like it's running really rich. The choke's not working properly either.
Anyways, I'm new to carbureted vehicles, so I'd like to find a local shop that knows what they're doing to get everything running decently before I start tinkering. Any recommendations?
