Are there any problems in coating a piece of metal in 2 stages..

What I want to do is do the back half of my frame with the bed off, Finish prep'ing on the bed, then pull the cab and do the front half of the truck.

My concern is that where the two applications meet the POR 15 might not stick to itself ..

Would rough sanding the overlap solve this ? or am I just paranoid...
(Damn limited space problems... )

Yup, sand /scuff the dry POR and paint over it with the new stuff. It is not easy to sand! This worked for me when I forgot to coat a part of the frame and I finished it the next day. The new POR hasn't peeled off yet.

Can't remember the procedure but I do remember it's on the can.
