Hey guys,

What do you guys use when painting engines/ engine bay compontents for a daily driver?? want something I can spray on my motor, so it has to be able to withstand heat.... or is there an additive for that??

I used the POR 15 engine paint kit - about $50, but I betcha it will outlast the engine! It's self-leveling, so you can brush it on...I did! Here's my LT1 in the garage...the red parts are POR 15, and the black is factory paint. You can just tell when you put this stuff on, it's there to stay. It's thick, like a coating.

I clean the devil out of it w/ oven cleaner/soap/water, then spray w/ high temp engine paint.

I paint the engine compartment the same color as the truck.

Like that motor! would like to see some more close-ups!!

the only thing about spray cans- I dont think they have hardener in them... so I believe that the paint is less durable.
