Where are your favorite local places to go for parts for our trucks? I'm up in the Puget Sound area and would love to support the local folks. So where does everybody look? Are certain salvage yards better than others?

In Everett, there is Pickups Northwest - http://pickupsnw.com/ (same location as Dreamers). I've purchase parts there before, but I usually like to support the board members. The have also gone downhill since Dreamers bought them out. They used to be in Snohomish.

There are a couple operations in the Arlington area too, but I don't know their names. One of them shows up at the swap meets regularly. It's called something like Eastside Classics. I wasn't so impressed with their prices or friendliness when I talked to them at one of the swap meets.

Check out the local board as well. http://classicgmtrucks.net/ We are trying to get a group together to attend the XXX Rootbeer Truck Show on the 24th in Issaquah.

I've been to Frank's PickmUpParts in Olympia. He's got a lot of stuff, old and new.

Of course, I do the weekly scanning of Craigslist and ebay for people selling local. I'll check the Little Nickel classifieds on Thursday mornings too, when they updatet their online listings.

Amen. Those guys came to one of the Spokane swapmeets two weeks ago and acted like they just stepped in horse sh**. All of the stuff looked good, but it was VERY overpriced and the guys they sent were acting like they were sitting on golden goose eggs.

I'll keep an eye out for those guys...
in the meantime, do you guys know of good junkyards in Washington? There is a decent one in Olympia, but the rumor is it got shut down due to EPA regs or something. Another one near the Olympia airport is OK too. There is one near Aberdeen I hear is good too.

theres a couple in lynnwood. there "ok" not too big. they dont have any price lists. and you have to sign an agreement befor you go out and pay a dollor lol. its kinda scary atleast to me because all the cars are up on tire rims lol. but there always busy. so its worth atleast a look.
