Hey all" I got an 1981 GMC, 355,350TH, 9" rear. No reverse lights!!! The guy whom owned it never hooked it up to the B&M quick shifter....I took the cover off, seen the switch when engaged into reverse. The truck I think was a stick on the floor as the steering column doesn't have the slider or column shfter. How do I re-route it to the shifter and how do I find where the reverse light switch is??? IM not mechanic but mechaincally inclined. Any help would be seriously appreciated, thanks again, Tom

If you are going back to a column shift, just adding a neutral safety switch to the existing column should provide the needed back up switch. Then all you do is wire to the back up lights. If you're keeping the B&M (I would!) you need to wire from the back up lights to the switch, and from fused battery power to the switch. B&M should be able to provide a wiring diagram, if you call em. Good luck
