Fishing is one hobby I really enjoy. All kinds. Flyfishing, bass, crappie, catfish, strippers, walleye, and occasional trip to the coast. Sound off on stories and locations of catches. Our area is abundant with good fisheries. Maybe we can share some usefull info.

went on the anaunal fishin trip to cape hatteras, nc with my grandma and dad. we were surf fishin in front of the house and my grandma started hollering for me. i ran over and grabbed her rod from her, didn't feel like there was nothin on there so i rared back to set the hook and all i heard was the drag goin off. started reelin and once i had it to the suds, i felt the line go lose but a pretty big lookin fish so i go in after and my dad goes at the same time. i belly flop on the fish but it wiggles away but luckily my dad gets it and throws it outta the water. turns out it was a 25" puppy drum. grandma said when it hit it knocked the rod outta the holder so she had to run dwon, get the rod but could barely hold it. i was soaked when it was all said and done but it was worth it.
