This is just me, but I think you can buy that new as a crate motor with the intake, etc ready to use for $3500. Besides a long block is tough to gather up the intake, wiring, fuel rails etc. Check out scoggins dickey, they are in you neck of the woods and sell crate engines cheap. My .02 cents. I'd like to buy yours, but would worry about finding all of the other components.

I was just going to put an intake and carb on it. Summit and jegs offer a kit for the intake and ignition box set up

If you're getting paid for the delivery, then it certainly can be worth it. I sold a truck to Deuce, who lives in Alberta. He paid me to drive it up there and fly home. It was a win-win situation. Unfortuantely the truck was having carburetor problems, and it was getting about 6 miles per gallon. I had to refuel about every 150 miles. That was painful.

I have a Tahoe with a 5.3 in it with 122,000 miles on it. It would be nice to have your engine sitting in my garage if my engine decides to spin a main bearing or something. Oh, well.

Since this is out of the SSR, is it an aluminum block?
Would you be willing to ship it to 45680 in Ohio?
Of course I'd pay for the shipping....

Yes it is aluminum. Shiping would probably kill the deal but can check into the total cost

Not trying to cost you any money but you can find a aluminum block and heads on ebay for about $400 and a complete engine for not much more. The price might be a little high. IMO
