i go every day of the event/// if you've never been i suggest getting there VERY VERY early if just a spectator it'll save you miles of walking b-4 getting into the track or in the car show you get alot better space to park// we usually are in the showcar line 6:30-7AM

whatever plan on walking a minimum of 10-25miles during the day to have a good look around

I sure would like to drive my 67 stepside down ,but health reasons wont allow me to do a full day in the Florida sun .If i show up in the afternoon in the showline am i wasting my time ? I was also wondering is the tunnal the only way in and out during the show
thanks for any comments or help

i can understand limitations due to health problems//you can still get in in the afternoon, preregistration makes it ALOT easier// access for show cars is on the back straight of the speedway no going thru tunnell// the real down side is that you'll be way out in turn 3 a long walk to the swap and food sections// if you can't do a whole day why not go early in the morning when the sun isn't brutal and then leave early??? traffic wise it would make the trip alot easier and you'd be alot closer to rhe swap and the other stuff// general admission spectators all enter thru tunnels

If someone could get a good pic of a red '31 5 window coupe hiboy w/nissan pulsar taillights and sunroof, I would kiss the ground you walked on.

My dad and I sold both our coupes there at the Turkey Run back in '89. Mine of course was the red 5window Hi boy with sunroof and Pulsar taillights(no hood or front fenders). I would love to see that one again!!!

I went friday and saturday - tried to find cliff and 67fleet didn't find them but I did find Tim Christian. Very cool guy - bought a good bit of stuff from him (cab mounts, door skin, door bottoms, 5" rear springs, marker lights, dash bezel, rear chrome window trim and few other things I can't remember).

67fllet, cliff, and any other board members - will you guys be going to the March Swap meet?

Hey Jim, sorry I missed ya. I was parked in turn 4 by the restrooms just behind the boy scout refreshment stand. There were 2 really nice 67-72 trucks just down the row from me that were both for sale. I didn't get to meet the owners though.

I'll definitely try to go to the spring show as well. My wife and I had a great time friday. I wasn't prepared to see as many cars/trucks as were there. I'm guessing we didn't even see about 1,000 of them, maybe more. The swap meet section was great, I was looking for a clean tailgate and a rear bumper but came up short. I'll be on the Gulf Coast in a couple weeks so I'll have to make a trip down to Mothertruckers and pick them up from them. Did manage to get brake/clutch pedal pads, and a billet turn signal/hazard stalks cheap. I think I'm going to have to bring a wagon with me in the spring.
Went to Old Town on Saturday night and had a blast. Most cars I've ever seen there. Lot of people from out of town that were from the TRR. I'll be there again this saturday night if anyone wants to meet up. :metal:

a wagon comes in real handy... :)

I have reserve duty this weekend to include the annual Christmas party saturday night...

:ennyd: :tim: :four: :alc:

They have it every saturday right? Maybe after the holidays we can get a board meet going there at Old Town, haven't been in 4-5 years so I'm sure it's changed a bit.
