I propose we have our own little get together, meet eachother face to face and check out eachother's trucks. I would like to anyway. If anyone else does too please respond. I think it would be really cool! I am trying to give everybody a few weeks to try to plan ahead. I don't have to be in the driver seat though, If you can't make it but are interested in doing it later please post and lets work it out. If it gets big enough we can try to move it around every couple months to make the travel easier on those far away. Let me know. I was thinking of Road Runner park on Cactus and 35th(ish) street but like I said I don't have to be the planner, I am happy to go with the majority. Help me make this work won't you? :help:

If you take I 10 to SR51 North you can Exit Cactus to the right. The park is on the left side of the steet right there so you must get over right away. I will try to stay close to the second turn in off of cactus but if I can't get a grill near the parking lot I will keep moving until I find the best spot. The park is not that big so you will find us. My Dad is bringing his Bright Orange Malibu you won't be able to miss us. If you park near us and seem to be looking around we will come to you. Are you bring ing anyone with you?

My good friend "Stroked" is coming with his family and another friend of ours Wes AKA "Wes Hole" This puts our # of attendies up by 3 adults 2 more children. No shooting at classic Mercurys or classic Buicks as their classic Chevys are under construction and not road worthy!

Well, the BBQ came and went! It was not quite as big as we thought and we all brought food home with us but, we did have a great time. I am sure that everyone who made it out today will be game next time. Hope to see all that couldn't make it out on the next get together!

Don't fret fella's I think everyone is down to do it again. I actually went down to 83 ave and Beardsley afterwards with Stoked my son and my friend Bil. A guy came up and said "is this Jebb?" and he turned out to be Demi. We all talked for quite a while. It sounds like he is down for the next one too! I think it will only get bigger now. We can try to start planning earlier so everyone can make it. I mentioned at this one that we should have Matt pick the next location so we can all check out his 74. Everyone seemed okay with that. I am off every other weekend so as long as we plan around that it will work for me. Let me know when you guys will be ready and lets do it!

Matt BTW- my motor looks very simular to yours! My truck is not as built up, but I did do some upgrading when I did the motor. I am going to put my original air cleaner back on after I mend 2 so it's duel snorkle. I have all the stuff, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I have a long running post with some pics in the post your ride section. Let me know what you think. Thanks for finding your painting posts for me. That is some damb impressive work I must say! I really want to check that sucker out!

BTW- I noticed in your pics from before it was tore down for paint you were running a later grille than your year. Do you have the 73-74 grille? If not my friend replaced his with an aluminum one and it is still sitting at his place. It's not in bad shape, Interested? I am sure he would either give it to you or almost give it to you... Let me know. I owe you one and I would be happy to be able to do something for you.
