Where would I look for the reverse light switch on my truck,.I think it used to be a standard, now its an automatic. I have a 81 GMC.I think it was an stick because it has no P R D L1 L2 on the column where the it reads a dial. Its just blank. I now have a B&M ratchet shifter. Thanks for any tips

Also, I tried to post a WTB: in the classifieds but it won't let me.Not sure, kinda new here. I want to buy Chrome door sill plates for a short box.

If the truck was originally a standard trans then it would be on the top of the transmission near the left front. Should have a 2 wire connector with green wires hanging somewhere close by underneath.

Under the truck near the front of the tunnel/firewall.

You should have a netural safty switch on the colume. You might have to move it up or down. With someone standing behind the truck, you can move the shifter up and down to see when and if the back up lights come on. I had this problem once and all it took was to adjust the netural safety switch.
