Is there a real difference in the fit of the 99 to 02 and the 03 to 05 taillights? I found a wicked set of aftermarket tails for an 03 to 05.

I THINK the beds are exactly the same. I don't see why GM would retool just to change the taillight screws on the "newer" beds. I just bought a set of fender flares and they are listed as 99-06. I think all they did was change the outer appearance of the lens.

I have the updated tail lights from the 03 - 05 style that I'm getting ready to slap into my 2001. Once I get them in there I'll update this.

I (temporarily) put the tailights from my 04 into my dad's 2000 because he hates the yellow turn signals. Fits fine, only thing was the light sockets are a little different and I think there was one extra light for the newer style taillights.
