bad_burb 12-07-2005, 11:56 PM definately interesting. I can say I have never seen a crew cab done like that.
wibilly 12-08-2005, 12:44 AM thats pretty cool i have toyed with the idea i have a 87 burb and 76 3/4 ton 4wd trucks in the field of broken dreams thinking of combining the 2 in the feuture
Frizzle Fry 12-08-2005, 01:46 AM I like it, but I would have fixed the roof line. Also, you know why that tool box is there... But I do like the fact that they kept it all one piece and used the Burb tailgate and lights. Very Unique!
Bad Dog 12-08-2005, 03:02 AM Hmmm, does anybody NOT see the obvious fact that this is a modified truck in which the owner is asking for a HUGE amount of money for a truck that NEVER ( I repeat ) NEVER had air conditioning. !!!!!
lorin408 12-08-2005, 04:07 AM the roof line?? what do you mean?
are you talking about how it flows with the burb and then is just cut off, and not flowing through like a traditional truck body? i too was dumbfounded by the fact that the seller had no representation of the bed. my only presumption was that; in trucks when you try to join the body, there is a fair amout of bracing that needs to happen. i figured a burb you could make it work, but still; getting 'rid of the upper half (rear roof) would cut a good deal out of the strength of the over all rig. so i am curious what they have done under that "tool box" or bed. are they hiding something , or is the rig just weak in that aspect?
hotrodchev 12-08-2005, 09:03 AM Here's a real '69 K20 crew cab for comparison. I believe this vehicle is still available for $2250.00 if anyone's interested.

I think everyone would have done something different. But just for discussion, it does look like the front half of a Burb roof:

More work, but it would look better IMO if the rear were contoured back down into the rear cab wall like a truck:

The square upper rear corners of the third and dummy doors are unique looking. Some might prefer the use of rounded upper rear door corners from truck doors and a little trim of the crown:

We can all say woulda, coulda, shoulda, but I find it interesting to see these creations. I wonder what the bed rails look like?
shelby987 12-08-2005, 12:16 PM saw that online the other day.....far from impressed....the toolbox is clearly to hide the fact that the guy wasn't sure how to handle the joint between the bed and the cab.....decent covering, but I was also wondering why there was no pics of the bed, the burb tailgate is nice, but to keep with the theme, I would have gone with a truck tailgate....too each his or her own I guess!
As for the interior....I like my interior.....if i wanted the interior of the 73-87....I would buy one.....and if memory serves...they came in crew cab
86swb 12-08-2005, 08:47 PM I really did not care much for it. Just does not look right to me. IMO
