View Full Version : Pulling back Bed Side ?

I'm getting ready to start on the body work on my truck, and have a question on the bed side. I have a lwb fleet, and the left side has a 3/4" outward bow in it, at the top, and in the middle. It looks like something had pushed it out. There isn't any other damage to the side, no bends or otherwise. I can't imagine this coming from the factory. I would like to push this back in, so that when the time comes for a bed cover, it won't be obvious that it is pushed out.

The bowed part of the panel is at the area of just above the wheel tub, the pictures don't really show this, but it is pushed out. Any ideas on how to get this back straight. I thought about a come-a-long hooked onto the inside of the bed, and pull, but afraid it would collapse and cave inward.

Any ideas would be helpful......

If you can, use a C clamp or something like it. Clamp the inner edge and use a come along across the bed to a tree or pole and pull it in. Very gently. Matt
