My father is looking to get his 55 cameo repainted.......he is located in burlington VT, but willing to travel to get a good paint job. Right now now he has been quoted $1,900 by a Maaco paint shop in town to paint his truck, and that seems a bit high to me for a Maaco paint job....heard some real horror stories from friends. Can anyone either point me in a better direction to get a good job done, or deny the rumors that I have heard thus far about maaco? The job is suppose to include a quasi "body off" paint job with a two tone paint job base/clear....hope someone can help point me in the right direction (I would be happy to do it....but I am in michigan......700 miles away, and ill equiped to handle said task).
Thanks

I had my old 65 Coment painted by MAACO and they did a very good job. I could not find any fault with the paint. They sanded it down, primed it and shot 4 coats and 6 clear coats for just under 3500. A lot of chain shops do get some bad rep's, but you also have to go and talk to them and look around the shop.

Got ya covered...;)

Paint and body shop in Williamstown VT, only 50 minutes south of Burlington.

Old school dude does the work, prefers old chevy trucks above anything else!
