Had a few slip-ups today.
Can you sand fairly new Centari, hit it with some good spray bomb primer (so it matches the color of the other primer) and then base/clear it?
Please say yes.
Thanks

Why do you have to prime it? Did you scratch it down to the metal? I wouldn't use spray-bomb primer over the new paint, you'll get a bad reaction and it wil wrinkle. I'd let the paint dry for 24 hours, lightly scuff it, and shoot primer surfacer over the messed up area. It's really hard to give advice without seeing what your talking about.

Was planning on painting the hood on the truck. Did some painting under the hood and then installed it. Had to mask before I primed the top. The tape pulled off a little bit of paint from the front lip. Have now decided to paint the hood off the truck (truck is not low and I'm not tall) :)
It would be easy to paint the goobered up lip at the same time I do the top of the hood, but I don't know what to do with the new (goobered) paint on the lip. Figure I should have the same gray base to it that everything else does, or maybe the color won't look right.
This confuses me, but I get confused easily. -

Primer surfacer must be different from primer, right? Got some etching primer in a spray can.??
Really appreciate your help.
Thanks yet again, Randy.

The etching primer will lift the paint. You should use primer surfacer (primer that you mix with laquer thinner and shoot with a gun), you have to shoot the first couple of coats really thin, you don't want them too wet because it will lift the paint.
