View Full Version : Seattle-ites: Where do you get blasting media?

For those of you that have blasters at home, where are you getting your media? I've been getting mine at United Western Supply in south Seattle, but they're starting to only carry the stuff in 55 gallon drums (330#)...which is just a bit more than I need. The stuff is dirt cheap - less than 1/2 what someone like Eastwood charges.

I'm interested in any other sources, or interest in a "group buy" of glass bead, aluminum oxide or silicon carbide. We could get a drum, then everyone brings a couple of 5-gallon buckets and we split the cost.

While I'm wasting bandwidth, anyone interested in a March get-together somewhere? Nothing fancy, maybe just a lunch at the XXX or something...

Thanks!

I'd be interested in meeting up, but sorry I don't have any leads on blasting media. Good luck.

We can try a get together at the Corvette & High Performance Swap Meet at the Puyallup Fairgrounds February 11, 12. It is the first big swap meet of the year.

Sounds like a plan! Maybe a planned lunch or breakfast on Sat or Sun?

Another option for a get together is the swap-meet in Monroe. I can never remember when it is but for some reason, march sounds about right (or maybe it is may?)
