Guess I should post something. I have a 1969 SNB that my girl friend gave to me. Before my wife kills me I guess I should explain. My best friend since 6 th grade married a girl with a 69 chevy. He restored it (lousy job, hope he doesn't see this) about 20 years ago. He drove it about 10 yrs and it became a yard ornimate under his wifes carport for another ten years. Going to fix up for kids of course. This last summer, they moved to a new house and she demanded he fix it or it was gone. His kids would not drive it because it did not have air cond. We drug it to my house and within two days I had it running. (Knew it ran when he parked it because I tuned it up two months before he parked it.) Have spent about $1000 and have about another $1000 to go. Still no A/C but my kids apriciate not walking. My youngest, Joey claims the p/u but all 4 kids will probably learn to drive a standard in. Sorry to be so long winded.

Brian

I also have a 77 chevy 1/2 ton, My oldest son drives to school and a 53 GMC in the back yard that needs a lot of work. Still need another one as I have 4 kids.

You are right but then you might see all the cancer! lol Rich replaced the seal around the drip rail(even though the instructor of the restoration class advised against it) and it is rusted bad. Even worse than that, he painted it a f##d brown! Guess I can't say too much, I painted my Bronco II corvette Blue. :metal: LOL

Welcome from West Tennessee. Anyone who starts off with "truck that my girlfriend gave me" then adds "he has a wife and 4 kids" in the next line. Take all the time and space you need as we all love a good story. Sound like you have a good start with a 69 but with 3 more to go happy hunting. Keep us posted.
