to all you suspension Guru's:
I sandblasted the crossmembers for my truck 1 is a late sixties drum brake crossmember the other is a 71/72 disc brake crossmember I was planning on just swapping the disc brake stuff over to the drum brake crossmember because it is in a little better shape.
Now the Question the 90 degree bracket that bolts to the frame members are different thickness metal (drum .170)(disc.250) does this make any difference to the final set-up I would assume the thicker of the 2 is the strongest?
So should I just burn out the rivets and swap these brackets also?
Thanks for your replies!
