My 2/4 lowering kit from ECE comes in tomorrow for my 67. I've got 72 disc brake spindles I want to put on at that time as well. Can anybody tell me what additional parts I'll need to put this all together? I've got some new 67 lower ball joints, will they work with the spindles? Should I replace the uppers while it's apart? How about my drum brake booster. Should it be replaced with a different one? Master cylinder? Thanks for your help! bighead

While you have it apart, you should replace anything that is bad...ball joints, bushings, etc. Also I don't believe the 67 ball joint will work (I may be wrong), but I think 67-70 are different than 71-72. If you are putting discs on, you will need a disc/drum MC and the correct prop valve. You also need discs, calipers, pads, hoses, etc for the brakes. I hoping to do this on mine in the spring :D
EDIT: I just looked up ball joint part #s and they don't match.
Good luck!

Definitely need the upper and lower ball joint for 71 and newer trucks.
You'll also need outer tie rod ends for the 72 model spindles too. You'll need either (1) complete 71-72 tie rods and center link, (2) The adapter sleeve for the tie rod ends, (3) best idea, contact Dennis Brooks and have him modify a pair of tie rod ends for you so you don't have to change the whole steering linkage or buy expensive adapters.
PM Dennis, he's a good guy, he'll steer you straight, and he's real close by to you.
