DennyB 01-27-2006, 10:22 PM Nice Start there 55! :D pebbleboy 01-27-2006, 10:44 PM Try Classic Trucks Mar 06 article Franken Brakes they install this http://www.abspowerbrake.com/AbsCatalogPag039.html More info on them http://www.abspowerbrake.com/ElectricHPpage.html CAL 58 GMC 01-28-2006, 01:50 PM Here's what I have on my truck. It is TCI's power brake unit. It comes with a 70's style Corvette master cylinder and a 7 inch booster. The bracket bolts to the original spot on your frame you just have to drill one hole for the top bolt. You will also need to use a new style proportioning valve and residual pressure check valve. With this type of setup, gravity and vibration cause the fluid to leak back to the master cylinder causing a loss of brake pressure and a longer pedal stroke. Basically, not having this check valve can cause your brakes to give out. I bought my set up off of e-bay from FatRodder or Cpp also sells this setup. Good Luck!:metal: 55ChevyPU 01-28-2006, 08:59 PM ive basically got what 58 has, literally the same frame :o . Here are those closeup shots I promised with these you can get a pretty good idea of the clearance and location. http://www.two40musclez.com/chevy/brakebooster/booster4.jpg http://www.two40musclez.com/chevy/brakebooster/booster5.jpg CircusWagon 01-28-2006, 10:35 PM I have the CPP unit and I want to make it work with a stock clutch pedal and a manual T-5 trans.
