i bought a digital camera today. problem is my cd-rom drive in this computer don't seem to wanna work at all. I'm pretty much a retard when it comes to computers . i 've gone through my pcs troubleshooting guide an it says it's fine but it won't do anything with any kind of cd any sugestions on where to start

A few questions:

Do you know how to use Windows Explorer? (that's the little program that lets you browse your files).

What version of Windows are you running? Every single little itty bitty detail you can give me about the computer like the manufacturer, the model number, the version of Windows and other crap is very very useful when trying to help people.

If you can get into the file explorer, does the CDROM drive show up in the list of drives attached to the machine?

Does the CDROM drive show up in the Device Manager?

With the CDROM inserted into the drive, can you access any of the files on it using the file explorer tool?
