You went a bit more radical than I did.
I am using the Edelbrock Preformer-Plus Cam Kit (Cat# 2102) with the Edelbrock manifold and 4bbl. Mine is a daily driver though.

I know how you feel, I finally adjusted my valves tonight and found out my oil pressure switch wont work without some rigging. I changed the cam before Christmas and have been waiting to start it since then. Of course I broke the fuel pump trying to get the line off and the water pump is trashed............you know the normal stuff that laughs at you..................... good luck with yours.
